1. Overview
Liquid Amber Partners LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates pouredvelvet.com and the companion web application served at pouredvelvet.com/app/ (together, the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
You do not need an account to browse recipes, guides, or blog posts on pouredvelvet.com. The categories of information we collect depend on how you interact with the Site:
- Anonymous browsing: standard web server and analytics data such as IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, time and date of visits, and approximate geographic region.
- Signed-in web app users: if you sign into the companion app at /app/, we use Firebase Authentication (provided by Google) to create and manage your account. We store your email address and the app-specific data you create, including your home-bar pantry, favorited recipes, tasting notes, ratings, and tags.
- AI bar scanner images: if you use the in-app bar photo scanner, the image you upload is transmitted to Google Gemini for analysis. Images are processed to identify bottles and ingredients and are not retained by us after the scan completes. See Google's privacy practices for details on Gemini processing.
- Cookies and similar technologies: set by us and by third parties for the purposes described in Section 3.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our third-party partners use cookies, web beacons, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and serve advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings and through the opt-out mechanisms described below.
4. Advertising — Google AdSense and Third-Party Vendors
We display advertising served by Google AdSense and its partner networks.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our Site and other sites on the Internet.
- Google may use the DoubleClick DART cookie and other identifiers for interest-based advertising, remarketing, and audience measurement.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You may also opt out of third-party vendor use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu (EU users).
A list of third-party vendors and ad networks that may serve cookies on this Site is maintained by Google at this page.
5. Analytics
We use Google Analytics and aggregated AdSense reporting to understand how visitors use the Site (for example, which recipes are most read, device type, and approximate location). Google Analytics uses cookies and may process data on servers outside your country of residence. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
6. Affiliate Links
Some pages on the Site contain affiliate links, primarily to Amazon.com as part of the Amazon Associates Program. When you click an affiliate link and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Amazon and other affiliate partners may set their own cookies and collect information as described in their respective privacy policies. See Amazon's Privacy Notice.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. The legal bases on which we rely are your consent (for advertising and analytics cookies and for creating a web-app account) and our legitimate interest in operating the Site securely. To exercise these rights, email support@gammaflux.io. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. The use of advertising cookies described in Section 4 may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out using the mechanisms in Section 4 or by emailing support@gammaflux.io.
Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no consistent industry standard for interpreting this signal, the Site does not currently respond to it.
8. Data Retention and Security
The Site is served over HTTPS. Signed-in web app data (email, pantry, favorites, notes) is stored in Firebase and retained for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app's settings screen; account deletion removes your records from our active Firebase database. Anonymous analytics and advertising logs are retained by our third-party processors (including Google) for their standard retention periods.
9. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for adults of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction (see our Terms of Service) and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact support@gammaflux.io and we will delete it.
10. International Transfers
Our third-party processors (including Google Firebase, Google Gemini, Google Analytics, and Google AdSense) may transfer information to and process it in the United States and other countries. Where required, these processors rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
