Summary

Browsing recipes on pouredvelvet.com does not require an account. If you choose to sign into the web app, we use Firebase Authentication to store your account and your personal data (pantry, favorites, notes).

What we collect

• Anonymous browsing: standard web analytics (page views, referrers), plus cookies from advertising partners.
• Signed-in users: email (from Google Sign-in), app-specific data you create (pantry items, favorited recipes, notes, tags).
• Bar photo scans: images you upload to the AI bar-scanner are sent to Google Gemini for analysis and not retained.

Advertising

Poured Velvet displays ads from Google AdSense on recipe and blog pages. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings.

Affiliate disclosure

Some outbound links on Poured Velvet are affiliate links, primarily to Amazon via the Amazon Associates program. If you purchase something through these links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We only link to products we consider useful.

Your choices
